Vietnam is forecast to rake in 565 million U.S. dollars from rubber exports in the first half of this year, up 57.2 percent year-on-year, according to a report of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on Wednesday.
The country's export volume of rubber in this period is expected to go down 18 percent year-on-year to 207,000 tons, said the ministry.
In June, Vietnam is estimated to earn 70 million U.S. dollars from shipping 25,000 tons of coffee to foreign markets.
In the first six months of this year, Vietnamese rubber companies sold their rubber mostly to European Union countries, Japan and the members of Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
Vietnam is forecast to bring in 1.8 billion U.S. dollars from exporting 780,000 tons of rubber this year, according to the ministry.
