Polish a Dull Marble Floor

Updated:2014-04-02 10:06:25
When polished marble floors are clean, they have a brilliant shine. If the floors have dirt on them or cleaning solution residue, the marble will not shine and will simply look dull and filmy. Avoid this by properly cleaning your marble floors and by rinsing them thoroughly to make sure that no cleaning solution is left on them. Drying the floors thoroughly will also help ensure that watermarks don't develop and make the floors too streaky.

Instructions as follows:

Firstly, fill a bucket with 1 qt. of warm water.

Secondly, add 3 tbsp. baking soda and mix until the baking soda dissolves.
Thirdly, dip a mop into the solution and wring out as much of it as possible so that the mop is damp but not dripping. This will make your cleaning process more efficient, as you will not have to remove large puddles of cleaning solution from your floor.
Fourthly, push the mop over the marble tile floors to remove the dirt.
Fifthly, rinse the mop with clear water once it has become covered in dirt.
Sixthly, reapply the cleaning solution, wring it out and continue cleaning the floor until it is completely clean.
Seventhly, let the marble countertop floors dry completely.
Eighthly, rinse the mop completely and wring out as much of the water as possible. You may need to wring it several times.
